The 'Copy' button (also Ctrl+C) allows you to copy any selected items to your clipboard so they can be pasted to another location on the sketch or to another program.
The 'Cut' button (also Ctrl+X) removes any selected items from the sketch but also copies them to your clipboard so they can be pasted somewhere else.
The 'Paste' button (also Ctrl+V) will paste the contents of your clipboard to the sketch. RapidSketch supports pasting text (as a new note) and images from other programs.
Any item can be copied including lines, labels, complete areas, images and symbols.
To copy:
| • | Click the 'Copy' button. |
| • | Click the 'Paste' button. |
Copying is useful when you need a new area that is very similar to an existing area.

To cut:
| • | Click the 'Cut' button. The item is copied to your clipboard and removed from the sketch. |
| • | Click the 'Paste' button. |

To paste:
| • | Click the 'Paste' button. |
If the contents of your clipboard is a sketch item such as a line or area, a new item will be created on the sketch.
If the contents of your clipboard is text, a new label will be created on the sketch.
If the contents of your clipboard is an image, a new image will be created on the sketch.
